AMÜ - Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to AMÜ, including accounts, member profiles, events, registrations, payments, AMÜ Match, messaging, and community participation.

1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the AMÜ mobile application, website, events, member community, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, registering for an event, making a payment, using AMÜ Match, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Rules.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. AMÜ Match is only available to members aged 18 or above. Individual events may have additional age, health, experience, or eligibility requirements shown in the event listing. You are responsible for confirming that you meet them.
3. Accounts and approval
You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and use only your own account. Some features require membership approval. Approval is discretionary and may be withheld or withdrawn to protect the community, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.
4. Profiles and member information
You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile and for content you submit. Do not impersonate another person or provide misleading information. Profile information you choose to publish may be visible to other approved members as described in the App.
5. AMÜ-hosted events
Event descriptions specify the organiser, venue, schedule, price, capacity, eligibility, cancellation terms, refund rules, and other conditions. Read them before registering. AMÜ may reasonably change, postpone, relocate, or cancel an event and will provide notice where practicable.
6. Member-hosted activities
AMÜ Match and similar features help members discover and arrange activities. Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, member-hosted activities are organised by the participating members, not by AMÜ. Hosts and attendees are responsible for honest details, suitable venues, practical arrangements, personal safety, and respectful conduct.
7. Registrations and payments
You agree to pay the price, taxes, and fees displayed before confirmation. Card payments may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider. AMÜ does not receive or store your complete payment-card number. A registration is confirmed only after the Service shows a successful booking or payment status.
8. Cancellations, refunds, and chargebacks
Cancellation and refund eligibility may vary by event and will be shown before purchase. Refunds are returned through the original payment method where possible. Processing time is controlled by the payment provider and financial institutions. Fraudulent disputes, chargeback abuse, or attempts to obtain duplicate refunds may result in account restrictions.
9. Community conduct
Treat members, hosts, staff, venues, and partners respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, threats, stalking, scams, impersonation, sexual misconduct, violence, illegal activity, and conduct that creates an unreasonable safety risk are prohibited. The Community Rules form part of these Terms.
10. Content and licence
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant AMÜ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the Service. You must have the rights and permissions necessary to submit the content.
11. Messaging and member interactions
Messaging is provided to support relevant event and match coordination. Do not send spam, unsolicited promotions, abusive content, or requests for passwords, verification codes, payment credentials, or other sensitive information. Blocking or unmatching may immediately end access to a conversation.
12. Safety and assumption of risk
Sports, exercise, travel, social meetings, and in-person events involve inherent risks. Choose activities suitable for your health, ability, and experience; follow venue and organiser instructions; use appropriate equipment; and seek professional advice when needed. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
13. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties including Apple, Supabase, Stripe, venue operators, notification providers, and other infrastructure or service providers. Their own terms may also apply. AMÜ is not responsible for third-party outages, restrictions, or acts outside AMÜ's reasonable control.
14. Enforcement and termination
AMÜ may investigate reports and restrict content, registrations, events, messaging, or accounts where reasonably necessary to protect people, payment integrity, the Service, or legal compliance. You may stop using the Service and use the in-app account-deletion control. Some records may be retained as explained in the Privacy Policy.
15. Service availability and disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. AMÜ does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that every member statement is accurate, or that participation in an event or match will meet your expectations. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AMÜ and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the Service. Any liability that cannot be excluded will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
17. Updates and contact
AMÜ may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be identified by a new version date and may require renewed acceptance. Questions may be submitted through the support or report-a-problem link in the App.
