AMÜ - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AMÜ handles account, profile, event, payment, matching, messaging, safety, and technical information.

1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how AMÜ collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal information when you use the App, website, events, and related services.
2. Account information
Sign in with Apple provides an account identifier and may provide your name and email, including an Apple private-relay email if you choose Hide My Email. AMÜ uses the supplied information for authentication and account administration without requiring you to re-enter it. If Apple does not supply a name, a display name is optional. We may record the version and time of your terms agreement.
3. Profile and demographic information
Age, occupation, company, education, gender, personality type, profile photos, sports, interests, preferred districts and social links are optional. Account creation does not require these details or your exact age. We process optional information only when you choose to provide it and use it for the relevant profile or community features. Profile information you choose to publish may be visible to members. Optional demographic research information, such as income range, remains private and is not a public matching filter.
4. Events, bookings, and attendance
We process registrations, questionnaire answers, contact details, ticket selections, booking references, waitlist status, attendance, check-in records, cancellations, refunds, and event communications to operate events and provide support.
5. Payments
Stripe or another payment provider processes your payment credentials. AMÜ may receive payment-intent identifiers, transaction status, amount, currency, refund status, and fraud-prevention signals. We do not receive or store your complete card number.
6. AMÜ Match and messaging
We process invitations, applications, acceptance status, schedules, chat messages, blocks, and unmatches to provide matching and communication features. Private meeting details are shared only according to the feature's access controls.
7. Safety, reports, and moderation
We process reports, blocks, supporting details and relevant account or content records to prevent abuse and moderate the community. Blocking immediately hides the blocked member's content from your feed and creates a safety report for the AMÜ moderation team. Objectionable text is filtered, and reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Confirmed violating content is removed and the responsible user's community access is revoked.
8. Technical information
We may process device type, operating-system and app versions, language, approximate region, IP address, request logs, crash or error information, and security signals to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Service.
9. How information is used
We use information to authenticate users, review membership, display profiles according to visibility settings, operate events and payments, provide Match and messaging, deliver notifications, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, comply with law, and improve the Service.
10. Sharing and service providers
Information may be shared as needed with Supabase for authentication, database, Edge Functions, and storage; Stripe for payments and fraud prevention; Apple for sign-in and app distribution; notification and analytics providers; event hosts or venues where needed to fulfil a booking; and professional advisers or authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal information.
11. Visibility to other people
Profile information and activity you choose to publish may be visible to approved members. Event hosts may see information needed to manage registrations. Match participants may see information required to evaluate and coordinate an accepted activity. The App identifies these contexts where practical.
12. Retention and account deletion
You can permanently delete your account in Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account, or from onboarding and membership-status screens. After your confirmation, we remove your profile, uploaded account media, social connections and shared messages, revoke Apple authorization and AMÜ sessions, and permanently delete the account. We remove personal questionnaire and contact information from retained booking records. Transaction records required for payments, refunds, accounting or legal obligations may remain. You do not need to send an email or contact customer service to complete deletion.
13. Security and international processing
We use access controls, Row Level Security, private storage, encryption in transit, and other safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than yours, subject to applicable safeguards.
14. Your choices and rights
You can edit supported profile fields, control certain visibility and notification settings, block members, and delete your account. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to withdraw consent where applicable.
15. Children
AMÜ is an adult community for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly allow children to use the community. Individual events may have additional eligibility requirements. Account creation does not require an exact age or date of birth, and the App does not provide parental controls or an age-verification service.
16. Updates and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be identified by a new version date. Privacy questions and rights requests may be submitted through the support or report-a-problem link in the App.
