Alano - Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Alano Tech Pte. Ltd. (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you access or use Alano, an app for browsing a library of Alano mascot artwork, turning it into chat sticker packs, and generating new mascots from a short description. Browsing and sticker packs do not require an account, and your sticker packs are stored locally on your device.

B. Browsing Does Not Require an Account
You can browse and search the entire mascot library, filter it, open any mascot, copy or share it, build sticker packs, and export those packs to chat apps without creating an account, signing in, or providing your name, email address, or phone number. We do not ask you to register to use the Service.

C. Anonymous Device Session
On first launch the App creates an anonymous session through our authentication provider, Supabase. This produces a random identifier that is stored in your device keychain. It is not linked to your name, email address, phone number, or any social account, and we cannot use it on its own to identify you. It exists for two reasons only: to enforce the daily limit on how many mascots a single device may generate, and to record which published creations are yours so they appear in your Profile.

F. Image Generation by a Third-Party AI Provider
To produce a mascot we send a constructed prompt — which contains the description you wrote — together with a reference image of the Alano character to our AI provider, BytePlus, OpenAI, Alibaba which operates the image model on servers in the Asia-Pacific region. We do not send your session identifier, the name you signed with, your device information, or any other user data to the AI provider.

G. Background Removal Happens on Your Device
The generated render is downloaded to your device, and the background is removed there, by the App itself, before the finished cutout is uploaded back to us. This means the cutting step involves no additional server or third party, and the intermediate render is not retained by us once the creation is completed or abandoned.

H. Sticker Packs Stay on Your Device
The sticker packs you assemble, their names, their order, your choice of tray icon, and the publisher name shown in a chat app’s sticker tray are stored locally on your device. This data is not uploaded to our servers, is not linked to your session, and cannot be viewed, recovered, restored, or transferred by us. Deleting the App deletes your packs.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the Service, including encrypted connections using HTTPS/TLS, row-level security on database tables so that account-linked records are readable only by their owner, and upload permissions scoped to a single file path per creation. However, no electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
