AI video generators compared: what matters for business content
How to judge AI video generators for corporate and marketing work: consistency, text, faces, formats, rights and cost.
New AI video models ship every few months. Benchmarks and demo reels tell you which one makes the prettiest clip. Business content has different needs. Here is what to judge them on.
1. Consistency
A brand video needs the same product, the same person and the same look across every shot. Many generators produce a stunning single clip and then a different-looking character in the next one.
Test: generate the same product in five different scenes. Does it still look like your product?
2. Faces and people
Realistic people are the hardest thing to get right, and the easiest thing for viewers to notice. Some models handle faces well; others drift, especially in longer shots.
Test: a person speaking to camera for ten seconds. Watch the hands, eyes and teeth.
3. Text on screen
Most models still struggle to render readable text inside the video. For business content, add titles, captions and product names in the edit, not in the generation.
4. Formats
You will need 16:9 for YouTube and presentations, 9:16 for Reels and Stories, and often 1:1. Check which ratios a model supports natively, and how it handles reframing.
5. Rights and terms
Read the terms before you publish commercially. Check who owns the output, what the provider can do with your inputs, and whether there are restrictions on commercial use or on depicting real people.
6. Data and region
If you work in a regulated industry, ask where your prompts and reference images are processed and stored. For some teams in Asia, a provider with regional infrastructure is the deciding factor.
7. Cost at volume
Per-clip pricing looks cheap until you need dozens of variants and retakes. Estimate the total cost of a finished campaign, not a single generation.
The models we use
We work across several models, including Seedance and Seedream (through our BytePlus partnership) and Wan. No single model is best at everything. The right choice depends on the shot: one model for product close-ups, another for people, another for motion.
That choice is most of the craft. If you would rather your team made it in-house, that is what AI Video Consulting is for. If you would rather we made the video, start with a Quick Video.
