The Role

We are hiring a Founding Account Executive to own the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets.

This is a builder role.

You will create pipeline, define positioning, and close deals in a market that is still early in AI adoption.

No inbound. No hand-holding.


What You Will Do

1. Market Ownership

  • Build pipeline for Hong Kong and/or Taiwan
  • Identify AI-ready companies across sectors
  • Develop localized narratives (HK and TW require different approaches)

2. Solution Selling

You will not sell products. You will sell outcomes.

Typical solution bundles include:

  • Marketing AI (content generation, personalization engines)
  • AI agents (sales, support, operations)
  • Enterprise AI systems (knowledge, document, workflow automation)

You are expected to:

  • Translate business problems into AI solutions
  • Package multiple capabilities into a clear ROI narrative
  • Position Omu Labs as a strategic partner, not a vendor

3. Vertical Penetration

Primary segments:

  • Consumer brands (beauty, retail, F&B)
  • Gaming and digital entertainment
  • Agencies and marketing tech firms
  • Financial services and fintech
  • High-touch service businesses

You will actively test:

  • Use case resonance
  • Deal size (ACV)
  • Sales cycle length
  • Buyer persona (Founder vs Marketing vs CTO)

4. Full-Cycle Closing

  • Run outbound β†’ discovery β†’ demo β†’ proposal β†’ close
  • Manage enterprise stakeholders
  • Own pricing, packaging, and negotiation
  • Close independently

Who This Role Is For

Non-negotiable

  • Fluent in Cantonese + English (HK) and/or Mandarin + English (TW)
  • Strong understanding of HK / TW business culture
  • Proven track record closing mid-to-large deals (HKD 300k–1M+)
  • Comfortable selling evolving, non-standardized solutions

Strong Advantage

  • Experience selling SaaS, MarTech, AI, or consulting
  • Exposure to agencies, brands, or enterprise clients
  • Understanding of marketing funnels, CRM, or automation systems
  • Ability to engage both business and technical stakeholders

Performance Expectations

This is a high-accountability role.

  • Target: 6–8x OTE in closed revenue
  • Heavy outbound focus
  • Fully self-generated pipeline
  • Weekly performance tracking

You are expected to:

  • Build a repeatable go-to-market motion
  • Identify winning use cases early
  • Close initial flagship clients

Compensation

  • OTE: ~HKD 720,000+ (HK-based)
  • Structure: 50% base / 50% commission
  • Accelerators for over-performance
  • Founding AE upside

Top performers will:

  • Influence product packaging
  • Move into regional leadership

  • 3–5 flagship AI deployments closed
